Mattie’s Homestead at The Shelby is a charming 2-story, l900's farmhouse. This 2300 sq. ft. farmhouse has 3 large bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The home has ceiling fans throughout and central heat and air for the unpredictable Texas weather. Guests can enjoy the newly renovated open country kitchen with all new stainless appliances, a large country table and comfy leather sofa and chair to enjoy while entertaining family and friends. The large living area has big comfy furniture to relax on to read or watch a large television. A TIVO and a DVD player with a variety of DVD’s to select from is available.

There are 3 queen-size beds and 1 king-size bed in Mattie’s Homestead. There is one guest suite downstairs with a queen-size bed and a full bath. There are two bedrooms upstairs; one room with 2 queen-size beds and 1 room with 1 king-size bed; and one full bath upstairs. The upstairs bathroom has been recently renovated with 2 antique sliding doors to uniquely open and make the bath and dressing room one large room. The linens on each bed are wonderful high thread count linens. Guests can enjoy lovely towels and soaps during their stay.

Guests can enjoy the new beautiful gardens and walkways that gracefully wind through out the grounds of The Shelby. Beginning out the back porch at Mattie’s Homestead, guests can relax and view the colorful perennial flowers and listen to the peaceful sounds of the new water feature constructed of a 100-year-old antique urn.

For breakfast, The Shelby offers fresh muffins and bagels, fruit, coffee, tea, juice, milk and cereal.

Mattie’s Homestead is a non-smoking environment. A maximum of 6 guests can stay here, additional guests are $50.00 per person. We have a no pet policy. Mattie’s Homestead is available for $450 per night.
